Hello Grandview Dental Family! While we all eagerly await the arrival of Spring (where is it??), we wanted to send out an update to let you know about some exciting things happening around our office!
First of all, we are excited to announce the arrival of NICOLE’s baby girl, Ruth Bjorlin! She was born on March 3 and came to visit us in the office a few weeks ago; she is practically perfect in every way and both momma and baby are doing really well!
Along with this exciting news, we have some staffing changes in the office. Nicole is focusing her calming, reassuring presence on raising her daughter and will be staying home full time. We have added two WONDERFUL dental assistants to assure your dental visits continue to go smoothly. Many of you have had a chance to meet MADDIE and CINDY already, but they are my third, fourth, and sometimes fifth hands and make a dynamic duo to continue our high standard of patient care.
Because we are growing, we have also added a new face to the front office – welcome KELSEY! Kelsey joins KYRRA up front to help with all things scheduling, treatment, administration, billing and insurance, and any other questions you may have.
We have an additional change to our hygiene team as TARA has expanded her education to offer myofunctional therapy. What is myofunctional therapy? It is a kind of like physical therapy for the tongue and head and neck muscles to teach proper tongue function and tone, ideal oral rest posture, and improve breathing and even sleep. If you’d like to learn more, this is a great video to explain myofunctional therapy.
Because of this exciting new venture, Tara will be reducing her hygiene care days so she can also provide this service to patients in our office and around the Twin Cities.
With this change, we are excited to add CHANTAL as a full-time hygienist in our office! Chantal worked with me several years ago at an office in Stillwater and Rosemount and you will love her energetic, friendly personality and skilled, gentle cleanings! Tara will continue to see patients for hygiene Mondays and Tuesday, VALERIE will continue her Tuesday and Thursday schedule, and Chantal will see patients Monday-Thursday. We want to honor your appointment time preference so if you have previously scheduled with Tara for a Wednesday or Thursday, you will get to meet Chantal at your next hygiene visit! We also want to honor provider preferences so if you’d prefer to still see Tara, please let Kyrra or Kelsey know by phone or text. Any of our 3 hygienists will provide top notch dental care for you and have all cleaned my teeth!
If you’re still reading, thank you! One last update – road construction. Ugh. We will be dealing with closures and detours on Eden Avenue through the summer so we will communicate through text or email for any changes that affect access to our office if you have an upcoming appointment scheduled with us.
Additionally, if you know anyone looking for a new dental home, we continue to offer our Thank You Program where you can earn a $25 Target Gift Card for recommending us to your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. We sincerely thank you for trusting us with your dental care and wish you a wonderful Spring and Summer!
Kind Regards,
Bridget Lervick, DDS and the entire (growing!) GCFD team
