What cosmetic dentistry treatments are available to improve the smile?

Hi, I’m Dr. Bridget Lurvik with Grandview Center for Dentistry in Edina. One of the main reasons I love doing cosmetic dentistry is because it helps me be part of a patient’s journey in getting their confidence back. So, we really specialize in kind of a custom smile design process. We don’t have a one-sizefits-all approach. Your results are going to be different than your neighbors or your friends because they’re meant to reflect you and bring you to life um in a way that we really want to showcase. So, we call it our signature approach to cosmetic dentistry. The most rewarding part is always the reveal when we actually get to put that smile in the patient’s mouth and the patient feels the difference. It makes me feel awesome. I mean, it really is rewarding and gratifying to be part of that journey and part of the process to be able to create confidence for patients. We ideally deliver no surprises. Patients talk about our comfort menu all the time. It’s one of the things they tell their friends about. So, it is one of the things we’re really well known for. Blankets, pillows, noise reducing headphones, giving them aromatherapy or having Netflix on. So our approach is always going the extra mile to make sure patients are comfortable in our chair. Cosmetic dentistry is something that we can make so seamless. Our end goal with cosmetic dentistry is always to make it look like your smile only better. From different things with the dental labs we use, the way that they build in texture and light reflection, we can make them so natural looking. The best results are incredibly important to our team. We go the extra mile to deliver excellence in not only the result we give, but the experience we give. So, we offer complimentary cosmetic consults in our office and you can either do that in person by calling our team or we also offer virtual consults, too, if you don’t want to take the time out of your schedule to understand what your results and options might look like. It’s absolutely a team effort. So, it’s not just me looking at it, it’s the whole team. So, we picked a team that gives us optimal results for our patients. So, I mainly work with Hancock Dental Arts. They do all of my cosmetic dentistry, um, porcelain, crowns, veneers, implant restorations, especially focused on front teeth to make sure that our results are beautiful and natural and they fit perfectly every time. One of the things that we commonly hear at the end of a smile transformation from our patients is that they say it looks like them only better and they wish that they had done it sooner. A patient that comes to mind recently was a mom who had always wanted to invest in her smile and over the years wasn’t able to do that and she finally made the time for herself. We actually ended up doing her case a little bit at a time. We split it up to make it affordable for her. And so we got to the end of that and it was just so rewarding because she really restored her confidence and it gave her her life back. The smile that we always knew that she should have. It was great seeing that on her face and taking her through that journey. One of the things patients always say is they wish they had done it earlier because it gave them their smile back. It it gave them that confidence that they were missing for so long. I think for me there’s really nothing like the feeling of delivering a a confident smile to somebody. It’s it’s part of why I do what I do and it’s the best part of my job. One of the things I’ve found over the years doing cosmetic dentistry is that a smile you love can really change everything.
