Ceramic Onlays and Inlays

Ceramic onlays and inlays can be a good alternative to porcelain crowns. Onlays and inlays are like smaller versions of crowns that only cover the portions of the tooth that are missing. This procedure is great for teeth with small to moderate amounts of decay that are too damaged for a simple filling but have enough tooth structure that makes a full crown unnecessary.

In the past onlays have often been made of gold. Although using gold was effective, it often left patients feeling self conscious or embarrassed when they smiled or talked. They felt like people were staring at their gold teeth or judging them. Using ceramic solves this problem. Since ceramic naturally reflects light, it looks just like a natural tooth. You can feel free to smile big and talk freely like you once used to - without having to worry if people are looking at your dental work or judging you.

In addition to being esthetically pleasing, ceramic is strong and durable. They allow us to restore damaged teeth, protecting them from further decay and giving you back the full use of the tooth. Your tooth will both look and feel like it used to.

If you're ready to restore your smile and your confidence, request a free consultation. We'll let you know if onlays, inlays, or crowns are correct for your teeth and come up with a plan to fix your smile.
